2) Place tacky tape across top and bottom and press beads or tinsel into the
tape to embellish.
3) Easy slide shaker box: use one slide as the top, glue a piece of
transparency or page protector over the
opening, sandwich several more slides after that one to the desired
width, fill the opening from the back with beads or punchies, then place
another transparency or protector piece over
the back if you want it to be see-through and place the last slide over the back. (In lieu of another slide
on the back, you can use cardstock, I recommend using the same color as your
background for complementary shaker to your page. Use contrasting colors of
beads or punchies so they show up against the background color.
When setting eyelets a very important step is
having the right tools.
You will need an anywhere hole punch, an eyelet setting tool, and a hammer.
You also need a firm surface to hammer on. There are mats just for this use so
you don't ruin your dining room table,:)
Positioning is important and I like to use
Eyelet Friend Templates by
Timeless Touches for even spacing of eyelets.
This helps you to punch the holes in precisely the right places, then the
eyelet setting is a breeze.
When using shaped eyelets I like to use a
piece or two of scrap cardstock on the mat to protect the front of the eyelet
from getting dented or misshapen from the pounding process. The cardstock
allows a small cushion for the shaped eyelet.
I also only tap 3 times, then check my eyelet, and pound one more at a time
until it is just right. The back of the eyelet needs to be opened and flat in
order to use it on a page.
There are so many uses for Fun Clips and they are limited by your imagination!
